MedPulse Spectrum Policies

MedPulse Spectrum is a bi-annual, open-access, peer-reviewed medicine and healthcare journal dedicated to fostering a scholarly environment that prioritizes excellence, integrity, and ethical conduct. Our policies serve as the cornerstone of this commitment, providing a framework that guides authors, reviewers, and all contributors towards a collective pursuit of advancing medical knowledge.

Scope & Frequency
MedPulse Spectrum is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes two issues per year in the fields of medicine and healthcare. As an open-access journal, we charge no subscription fees, ensuring all research is freely available worldwide.

Key Principles:

  • Integrity and Transparency: Our policies are anchored in the principles of integrity and transparency, ensuring that all interactions within the MedPulse Spectrum community adhere to the highest ethical standards.
  • Inclusivity and Respect: We are built on a foundation of inclusivity and respect, valuing diverse voices and perspectives to enrich academic discourse.
  • Quality and Rigor: We are committed to the highest standards of quality and rigorous peer review in medical publishing.
  • Author Rights and Attribution: We recognize and protect authors' rights, ensuring fair attribution for all scholarly contributions.
  • Ethical Considerations: Adherence to ethical guidelines—covering plagiarism, conflicts of interest, and responsible research conduct—is paramount to maintaining the credibility of our published content.

Operational Framework, Guidelines & Timelines
To ensure clarity, predictability, and a high-quality publication process, MedPulse Spectrum adheres to the following operational guidelines:

  • Submission Guidelines: Manuscripts are accepted for consideration throughout the year via our online submission system.
  • Peer Review Policy: Each submission undergoes a rigorous double-blind peer review. Reviewers are allotted two weeks to submit their reports, followed by a one-week reminder.
  • Editorial Decision Timeline: Upon receipt of satisfactory revisions, the editorial decision (acceptance/rejection) is communicated to the author in less than 7 days.
  • Plagiarism & Similarity Policy: All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software. A similarity index report is generated, and manuscripts exceeding acceptable thresholds are rejected or returned for revision.
  • Ethical Guidelines: All research involving human or animal subjects must comply with international ethical standards and include appropriate approval statements. Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Publication Schedule: The journal is published bi-annually. The first issue is published on 30 June and the second issue on 31 December of each year.

As you engage with MedPulse Spectrum, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the following detailed policy documents. Your commitment to upholding these standards contributes to the success of our journal and reinforces our collective dedication to advancing medical science.
